Founder & Creative Director, Anderson Haysom Design
Jennifer Anderson Haysom is known as a woman with an eye for detail and resilience. Hugely passionate about interior design, and with nearly three decades of experience, she has built a reputation for delivering considered, characterful spaces that are both beautiful and deeply personal.
Jennifer’s interest in interior design began at the age of 14, after she secured a two-week work placement at a design studio in North London. From the moment she stepped into that studio — brimming with inventive minds and groundbreaking ideas — she knew this was the career for her. It marked a pivotal moment, and she went on to study interior design before beginning her first professional role at the age of 21.
After a number of years working at a restoration-led interior design and build studio, Jennifer took the brave decision to go out on her own. Realising that the opportunities she sought could only be created, not found, she launched her first interior design and decorating company, Bluebird Interiors, in 2012, followed by Anderson Haysom Interior Design and Project Management in 2021 — a practice specialising in residential interiors and period restoration design.
Her approach is known for being empathic and holistic, with a deep respect for the past and a keen eye on how people live today. Working alongside a trusted network of architects, builders, and highly skilled craftspeople,
Jennifer brings a seamless blend of creativity, precision, and purpose to every project she undertakes.
Since then, Jennifer has worked on a diverse range of projects across South East England — from 16th-century cottages to ultra-modern new builds. Her style is known for being empathic and holistic, with a deep respect for the past and a keen eye on how people live today. She works in close collaboration with a trusted network of architects, builders, and highly skilled craftspeople, bringing a seamless blend of creativity, precision, and purpose to every project.
Jennifer is also a respected member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, recognised for her outstanding work and commitment to excellence. She is a proud supporter of two important industry charities — United in Design and Heritage Crafts — both of which champion diversity, access, and the preservation of traditional skills within the design and craft sectors.
